Hi. I do not want to come across as nutty so take this all with a quantum particle of salt.

There are various arguments about parallel universes and they all seem to ignore the possibility that when YOU make a choice YOU chose to move into a universe when the choice you made happened. Doesn't matter if its drinking mocha, lifting a finger a little or a lot, or whether to respond to this answer or not. Given a TRULY infinite universe there have to be a TRULY infinite number of universes exactly like the one we share today. I may decide not to send this answer, in which case you will never know I made an attempt - or I may decide to send it. If you are reading this you know which choice I made. You would be completely unaware of the fact that I wrote it. There should also be universes where the only difference between them is that some ridiculously small detail in history is the only difference. Say, where the number of bubbles of sea foam that formed in a wave - a single wave - was different by one. Everything Else would be identical. This is the power of infinity. This is inevitable in an infinite universe. YOUR number of choices is finite, but unlimited. Thanks for reading the rant.

Making choices does not involve an infinite number of options. Generally you confront 3 or 4 options and begin to narrow them to two and finally one. The reason that you do not have an infinite number of options is that you are mostly dealing with finite questions.
There are some decisions, however, that do have an infinite number of options, but only theoretically, such as which direction to go when lost. Theoretically, there are an infinite number of points on a circle, but the choice is generally made simpler once you begin to travel.

The number of choices I have is not literally infinite, just practically infinite.

For instance, I can choose right now to lift one of my fingers, but the number of ways I can lift it is not infinite because of the quantum limitations of space; in other words, there are not infinitely many tiny little gradations in positioning choices for my finger because Planck's constant expresses the lower bound of fine positioning.

Of course, the number is still practically infinite, because even though time and space are not truly infinitely divisible, the number of combinations quickly becomes more than even our best computers can enumerate.

4 choices only.

Yes

No

Don't know

Maybe.

These are the only real 4.

Depends! I can chose between coffee and hot chocolate, and sometimes I have coffee, sometimes I have hot chocolate, and sometimes I mix them and have mocha.

Sometimes I have water. Sometimes I have nothing. Not every choice is either/or. Sometimes you can chose more than one. And you can always choose not to choose.

I hope that makes sense!
