I read this in the Mattell Recall article today on Yahoo:

The CPSC said tiny magnets inside the dolls and accessories can fall out, and be swallowed by little children. When more than one magnet is swallowed, the magnets can attract each other, which can be fatal.

What happens exactly when two magnets attract each other and they have been swallowed? What makes it fatal?

with only one pole of a high voltage source when the source is not grounded in any way and their is no leakage path?

Is there an electric field gradient created through air anyway? I suppose there must be but how does the current find its way back?

I found this out when playing with a high frequency cold cathode tube inverter, you can draw sparks from one side against metal objects even when the other side is not connected to anything.

Cheers

in regards of using boiled eggs- cutting them into four equal pieces and placing 1 piece in each test tube. 2 pieces are covered with pepsin in dilute acid. One goes into the incubator and the other in the refrigerator. the other two pieces are covered with pepsin in alkali and one piece goes in the incubator and the other in the refrigerator.

For the past 2 months i have felt very spacey or a clousyness in my head 24/7. I have been to many doctors and had many tests done. The back of may head and my neck ach alot and sometimes my head feels funny. Now for the past few days my nose and sometimes my lips and chin feel numb or tingly. Does anyone know if a neurologist would be a good doctor to go for these problems. I have had a CAT scan, stress test and blood work and it all somes back fine. The only thing that came back is that I have neck spasms but i know they can't be causing all these problems. Everyday I feel like **** and i don't know what else to do. I think my next step is going to see a neurologist. Did anyone ever feel the same way? And i only 21 thats what scares me.

Gateway and Micron are computer stocks that frequently move together because they represent the same sector of the economy. During a 25 day period, the value of Gateway stock went up 17 days. On 10 of these 17 days, the value of Micron stock also went up. On the 8 days when Gateway stock did not go up, Micron stock went up on 2 of these days.

If Micron goes up, what is the conditional probability Gateway goes up?

I have two circuit boards that I removed from a CNC machine. The machine shop where it is recently machined a block of graphite, which the shop owner now regrets. Graphite dust filled the air and got all over everything. It also got into a lot of electronics, which is bad since graphite is electrically conductive. Fortunately, the boards I removed hadn't exploded yet so I have some hope of repairing them. The first thing I need to do is remove the dust without further damaging the boards. I'm wondering if anyone out there has had experience with this and if so, what is a good solvent for this? Should I just use my usual soap and water?
