Not only can darkness not shine in the light, it can't even exist in the light. Light shines as a beacon into the darkest of caverns, but darkness exist in the shadows, it cannot shine or effect more than the light can.

darkness cant shine into the light, because darkness isnt actually a real thing. darkness just means the absence of light. light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength that is visible to the eye
