I am still trying to get used to these type of equations, so if you could explain how you did it that would be really helpful.

1.) a+b=ac (a as the subject)
2.) pr-p=qr+q (q as the subject)
3.)pr-p=qr+q (r as the subject)
4.)p(q+r)=q (q as the subject)

Two jets leave St. Louis at 2 P.M., one traveling north at 850 km/h and the other south at 750/km/h. At what time will they be 4000 km apart?

Answer is 4:30PM.

How can I solve this?

I've written this chart, but I think I did it completely wrong.
--------Rate x Time = Distance
Jet1 = 850 ||| 1 |||||||||||||||| 850
Jet2 = 750 ||| 1 |||||||||||||||| 750

Problem: Last year, Kirsten read one fourth as many biographies as mysteries and eighteen more science fiction books than biographies. The number of Nature books that she read was one less than the difference between the number of mysteries and the number of biographies. If Kirsten read four times as many science fiction books as Nature books, how many books did she read in all?

The cost in dollars to print n copies of a magazine is given by the formula, C=-0.000025n^2 + 0.325n

a) Find the average rate of the cost of printing the magazine using the interval from 100 copies to 200 copies.

i try this for part a -

C(100)= -0.000025(100)^2 + 0.325(100)
= -0.25+32.5
= 32.25

c(200) = -0.000025(200)^2 + 0.325(200)
= -1 + 65= 64

so then I try this

64- 32.25/ 200-100

but the answers says---- $.25/copy how do they get this

b) Find the average rate of the cot of rnting the magazine using the interval from 200 copies to 300 copies.

answer = $.20/copy

What is the marginal cost( the cost of printing one extra copy)
after 100 papers have been printed? ( the cost of printing the 101 st copy. answer= $.27
