Find an expression in terms of n, for the nth term of the sequence 17, 14, 11, 8, 5, ...

The answer is 20 - 3n

I don't understand why there is a 20 and a 3 in the expression and why a minus sign is present..Could someone explain it to me so that I could resolve my doubts? Thanks!

integrate (cos(x)+1)/x^5 from 10 to infinity
Can it be written as an elementary function?
If so, what is the elementry function?
My CAS can't figure it out.
I got the CAS for free...you get what you pay for.
Convergence is obvious but i am uncertain about it's indefinite integral.
I have the feeling as though it cannot be written as an elementary function.

Thanks

1. Logb20 X
- B stands for base , so it reads Log with base 20 (x).
2.Y = ln (x^3+2x^2+4)
3.Y = ln[1+e^(x)/1-e^(x)]
4.Y = e^(x^(2+1)) * ln X (most difficult)

P is the product of the digits and S the sum of the digits in N.If the natural number N is of the form XYZ where X is the number of hundreds, Y the number of tens and Z the units in N then
P= (X)*(Y)*(Z) ; S = (X)+(Y)+(Z). How many values N can take if 6P+4S=4N

A student was assigned a long division homework which he was able to correctly work out. Unfortunately the dog ate his homework, and all that was left was what you see below. All the digits were smudged except for an '8'. Help the student to reconstruct his homework.

Each x stands for a digit (not necessarily unique). The dots are only to make the digits line up.

the integral is.....

3dx / x^2+6x+10

the 3dx is over the rest of the equation, i know you have to complete the square on the bottom first, which will be (x+3)^2 + 1. I need to use the substitution method where you let something equal u, then find du. Please help! I have a test in about 8 hours and need to know this.
