i cant figure it out pls help. and if you think its bad to help someone with h.w. then just dont answer pls.
okay,
-graphically solve and check ..i knowhow to check but i cant solev it that way cuz i dont have a graphic cal.

1) y= X squared - 4x + 3
y= x-1
so its x-1= x squared -4x + 3
where go from there? how to graph??

2) xy = -6
x+3y = 3
huh? thus one you dont have to graph just algebra.

i really need to know do you find the money base on the probability
for example:
there is a spinner for four equal regions. you spins the spinner 2 times and if you land on yellow and blue you win 5 dollars. how much money would you expect to make after 18 turns?
my method of finding the answer is that i find the probability of getting yellow and blue on those 2 turns. then i divide it into its simplest form and multiply the nunerator by 18. next i mulitiply the numerator by $5 . is my method right?

I just need a little explaining about this:

4 (x+y) + x

Directions: Simplify the expression and evaluate it when x = 2 and y = 5.

The back of the book says it 5x + 4x

Can someone explain how its 5x + 4x?
