i really need to know do you find the money base on the probability
for example:
there is a spinner for four equal regions. you spins the spinner 2 times and if you land on yellow and blue you win 5 dollars. how much money would you expect to make after 18 turns?
my method of finding the answer is that i find the probability of getting yellow and blue on those 2 turns. then i divide it into its simplest form and multiply the nunerator by 18. next i mulitiply the numerator by $5 . is my method right?

Your problem is a bit unclear. There are 4 regions. One is yellow, one is blue, and the other two regions are some other color. Right? Now Do you have to land on yellow the 1st spin and on blue the 2nd spin to win $5? Or can you land on blue the 1st spin and yellow the second spin and also win $5?

We must also know how much you are paying to make the 2 spins. Or are you saying each of you 18 turns of 2 spins each free? If so take me to this place and I'll spin all night.

i believe you would earn 5.625 You can see that its 1/8 your going to get that result every 2 turns so you just see that its 1/8 that your goin to earn the 5 dollars which translates to 16 turns then add the extra 2 turns which would be .625 since .625 times 8 equals 5
