1) Consider the arithmetic sequence A = { An } determined by the conditions
A(n+1) - A(n) = 2
A(0) = 1
Work out the first 3 terms of the sequence and enter them below.
Separate the terms of the sequence by commas: 15, -3, 11, etc.

i am doing my summer assignment for math and i am stuck. i have done 90 other problems and these are the last few that i cant figure out.

where do f and h intersect?
f(x) = 3x-6
h(x)= x^2 -5

(g / f) (-4)
g(x)= e^ (x+4)
f(x) = 3x-6

where do j and k intersect?
j(x)= x- x^3
k(x)= 3x

There were 114 tins in three cartons, P, Q and R altogether. If the shopkeeper moves 25 tins from P to Q, then 18 tins from Q and R, and finally 30 tins from R to P, there will be an equal number of tins in each carton. How many tins were there in each of the carton at first?

1) Oil spilled from a ruptured tanker spreads in a circle at a constant rate of 6 miles^2/hr. How fast is the radius of the spill increasing when the area is 9mi^2?

2) a 17 ft ladder is leaning against a wall. If the bottom of the ladder is pulled along the ground away from the wall at a constant rate of 5 ft/sec., how fast will the top of the ladder be moving down the wall when it is 8 ft above the ground?

Can anyone explain ratios to me? everytime I think I have grasped the concept, I get to another one that I cannot figure out....the current one that has me confused is 2.5:6::10:x
