I just need someone to explain these three problems to me. I'm really stuck on #3, so be sure to give me a clear explanation on that one.

1. In a certain cereal, the ratio of wheat flakes to raisins to almonds is 14:2:1. If (1/4) cup of cereal contains 5 raisins, how many more wheat flakes than almonds are there in 2 cups of cereal?

2. If 3a=2b and 3b=5c, what is the ratio of a to c?

3. If (ab)/c=7=(rs)/t, r=3a, c=2t, and s=kb, what is k?

Ok, Im learning about graphing and I cant get ahold of my teacher to ask her this question so I thought I would bring it here. Im trying wright the equation of a line with given slope and y-intercept.
This is the question.

Slope: -2; y-intercept: (0, 4)

I believe if you turned this into a equasion you would have
y= -2x + 4

Now this is where I think I am messing up. When you plot this on a graph I go to (0,4) and then I go back 2 points to make -2. This would create a strait line. Is this correct?

the problem says that the eigenvalues are all nonnegative, so you don't need to check that, simply what happens when λ=0 and when λ is positive.

Then says, determine if λ=0 is an eigenvalue, then find the positive eignvalues and associated eigenfunctions.

I've tried this several times, but can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong.

btw the answer in the book says:

Eigenvalue λ[subscript 0]=0 with eigenfunction y[subscript ](x) ≡ 1, and positive eigenvalues {n^2} with associated eigenfunctions {cos nx} for n=1,2,3...
