6x - 3y = 9
2x - y = 3
Explain how to determine the number of solutions without solving the system. Then apply elimination, and interpret the resulting expression.

2. How many solutions does the following system have:
4x + 8y = 16

okay, im taking the -log of 1.1 which gives me -.041. Now this site says to only count the sig digits after the decimal for logs and that 0's count as sig figs after the decimal. so does that mean the answer would be -.04 or is it really -.041

It says:">> Significant Figures for Logs

The number of significant figures in the regular number ([H3O+] in this case) becomes the number of decimal places in the log term (pH). For the log term, all digits to the right of the decimal are counted, regardless of whether or not the digit is zero. None of the digits to the left of the decimal count as significant figures."
