Two people in the US are talking on the phone. One person is in a state on the Atlantic Ocean, and the other is in a state on the Pacific Ocean. One happens to mention the time where they live, and the other replies, "that's funny, it's the exact same time here!" Both of their clocks are correct. How can this be?

Every week my teacher posts clues for a city in the USA. And we have to guess it and the first one to guess it right gets bonus points. So far these are the clues.
1. Is in the wolverine state
2. Is located North of Canada.
I'm not sure if question number two means Canada the country or a city named Canada
