The earth's atmosphere is made of of ozone & the 3 major gases - carbon dioxide, nitogen & oxygen.

Ozone keeps out UV & oxygen's essential for life. Any tip in the balance would harm all lives - eg. increase in carbon gases such as carbon monoxide & carbon dioxide would trap more of the sun's heat & let little escape, resulting in global warming, melting of the polar ice caps, rising sea levels, changes in weather, eg, more hurricanes, typhoons, etc.
