The way I see it, it is a sphere.
The proof that it is not flat, like a pancake, is in the fact that the earth has phases. Light, dark, day, night, seasons.
The person who wrote about the creation of the sun and moon in Genesis chapter 1 obviously knew the earth was a sphere.
Go ahead try to argue with that.

earth revolve around sun in elliptical orbit, when earth is far from sun ( on major axis) we will have winter similarly when earth is nearest to sun we have summer(on minor axis).
If we consider this as true then we should have twice summer and winter in one revolution of earth.

its said in the news that the global temps. have been higher this decade that the previous 1000 yrs. already we are seeing changes in the arctic with meltdowns and increased severe weather, as well as catastrophic events , happening all over the world. i was pondering the thought that if temps. reach high enough levels, eventualy the world would not be able to sustain the heat and was wondering how long it might take for global warming to have such an effect..
