Yes, but probably not quite so dramatically or quickly as in the film. I believe that it has already started & that is why some areas have had vastly diferent weather from usual for the past few years.

Well, the events that occurred in that movie were very much over exaggerated. For instance the big "freeze" that occurred over north America was completely made up. In the movie, the surface temperature of the ocean dropped drastically. That cold front would eventually move it's way to land. But for it to freeze a living being to death in a matter of seconds, that's not probable. Yes events portrayed in that movie are possible, they would not be nearly as bad as in the movie. The events you saw in that picture were purely made out of a directors mind.

I think they'd have an opposite effect - instead of New York freezing and having it snow in Mexico, the glaciers will melt and they will cause massive flooding.

I watched this movie many times, I had the DVD.
I hope that nothing such like this will ever happened.
It is really scary.
