Everyone that answered this question so far are sheeps, who follow eveything the gov't feeds them. "Industrial gases, pollution, car exaust." All these gases that barely reach the freakin ozone layer. What about the all the nuclear and hydrogen tests being conducted by the government war agencies. Bombs that realease more harming gases and unnecesary energy than anyone could calculate, literally every other day. Its being done by all the contries that have the money and technology. So stop with your naive consumer blame, who do this and that. Blame the ***** gov't. To answer your question join or a create a movement against governmental war agencies that conduct these tests.

there is no way to protect the ozone layer despite the fact that the world is slowly reducing pollution and carbon dioxide levels. However, if you can make an atmosphere compatible with the ozone, then that would be worth for a nobel prize.

the main source of destroing the ozone layer is some bad industrial Gases -Hydrofluorocarbons-used mainly for refrigeration and as propellant in spray ,
so to decrease these gases use and to use new environment friendly gases is the best way to protect ozone, and this is was included in what known as Montreal protocol ,as an Example we must not use R12 gas and we can use instead of it the R134a gas.
Ozone layer protect eart from ultraviolet radiation.

They've already done it, believe it or not.
Hydrocarbons were the culprit, and the primary source for those was old A/C units, mostly from cars.
They changed the refrigerant used to charge your car's A/C system, and the hole in the ozone layer is well-along the path to healing itself.

Recycle and use less energy. OR you could invent a greenhouse gases vacuum and it will protect the atmosphere.
