Synthetic diamond jewelry are loads cheaper than the naturl ones. But is something that can be produced so easily really worth paying for? Will the cost of synthetic gems go down in the future, once everyone takes advantage of the cheap price? I mean, is it really worth it?

Just pondering...
If I could just wish to make a powerful weapon, then I would make a diamond kendo stick. But even if I was to somehow obtain that much mineral (which is when pigs not only fly, but when they rule this world), I still need to melt them.

So I was just wondering how hot should it be to melt a diamond?

For any work energy is required, can there be a situation when this energy supply becomes zero? or the moving electrons have consumed all the energy and the structure of atoms or molecules and the matter collapses. There cannot be perpetual motion without utilising energy. Newtons law of motion holds good in vaccum only....? The electrons say in silicon, a constitutent of quartz do not move in vaccum, so from where does this energy comes? and can this energy be tapped for commercial utilisation, remember we have trillions and trillions of atoms (in a few gram of different matter) all around us and we do not have to use fission or fussion techniques to create energy by splitting or by fusing nucleus...
If we can unlock this energy riddle of the moving electrons, may be one day our progeny can live in a better world with total energy security. I wish we can do it soon..

I'm always amazed at the morons on here who insist there is no global warming just because Fox News says so. It's January in Ohio. I'm waking up in the morning to 60 degree temperatures. The glaciers are retreating. Sure there's an El Nino.......but they're more powerful than ever, no one ever heard of El Nino before the 1990's. Any of you idiots out there wanna bite on the argument that global warming doesn't exist? Yeah, and I know the climate historically fluctuates. I know more about it than you, I guarantee. But I'm talking about the morons that are saying it's not even happening at all. Glacier National Park will no longer have summertime glaciers. I'm not saying we should try to stop it, either, or that life will come to an end. It won't, and I'm not an alarmist. I'm not even an environmentalist. I just wanna see if anyone out there still believes it's not real.

My wife senses earthquakes before they occur. She is able to predict a few days in advance nearly accurately when earthquake would occur and at what intensity. She experiences severe dizziness or numbness in different parts of her body before sensing the impending earthquake. She feels that her different body parts denote different regions of the world likely to be affected by earthquake, like dizziness in her head could mean earthquake in Eastern Europe or numbness in limbs a different region. But she is unable to pinpoint the area and time that the earthquake would strike. She is greatly moved by the pathetic conditions of the people affected by earthquake. She feels that the victims could have been forewarned and saved of their misery, if she was in a position to predict accurately the day, time and area the earthquake would strike. Could anyone explain her experience (i.e. is it 6th sense?) and advise how to train her self to predict precisely and forewarn authorities.
