When air is hot, the air molecules travel at higher speeds, bouncing off each other and taking up more space. This makes the hot air less dense (fewer molecules in the same volume), so the air inside the balloon weights less than the same volume of air outside the balloon.
The air outside the balloon is slightly more dense at the bottom of the balloon than at the top of the balloon, because earths gravity pulls the air down. This air at the bottom of the balloon pushes harder at the balloon than the air at the top of the balloon (since it is more dense, it has more molecules bouncing off the balloon).
This creates a lifting force on the balloon, that is equal to the weight of the air that is pushed aside by the balloon (Archimedes' principle). If the balloon plus the air inside it is lighter than the air it pushes aside, it will fly.

Dear friend it observes the law of buoyancy. When an empty can is immersed in water it comes to the top surface. The same way if the density at the hot air balloon is less than the density of air it gets lifted up even against the gravitational force because of the buoyancy effect. The hot air will occupy more space than normal air occupies. As the altitude goes higher the outside air will be still dense it helps to lift the hot air balloon. If you are able to take more air in your stomach your density becomes low and you can float in the water without any external aid.

Being filled with hot air the balloon has less density than the air. Which means, less weight per volume unit.

the burner heats up the air inside of the balloon causing it to expand and it is lighter than the air out side of the balloon thus it causes the balloon to rise the pilot keeps turning the burner on to keep it aloft

just like a boat. The boat is lifted up by the water it displaces. The air in the hot baloone will displace the heavier and cold air . When the air in the ballone cools down it will fall.

because the hot air in the balloon is less dense than that of the surrounding atmosphere, hence making it to rise.

Hot air. Hot air rises, cool air falls. If the air in the balloon is warmer than the surrounding air, it rises.

hot air is less dense than the surrounding cold air, so the ballon rises. It does fall if you turn off the gas
