Why is it that after all these millions of years, the centre of the Earth is still molten? Why isn’t the energy source exhausted?

I am thinking of buying a "high quality" diamond ring but not sure what the report on it means. It states the depth is 64% and the table is 60%. The polish is good and the symmetry is very good. The girdle is thin. Color is F and clarity is VS1. I know what the last two terms are but what about the rest? Also, it comments that some parts of the polish are not shown. (I guess that means where the mount is). Does this sound like a good cut?

thanks!!

Those that think coal is millions of years ago have some hard questions to answer. All coal deposits contain carbon 14. This puts an absolute upper age limit of about 50k years. The popular idea that coal formed from swamps is not supported by the evidence. There are many examples of polystrate fossils extending through 'millions of years' of rocks. http://www.googlesyndicatedsearch.com/u/creationontheweb?q=polystrate&hl=en&lr=
The best explanation for the observed coal beds is that a lot of trees and organic matter was buried quickly in a catastrophic flood - and recently at that.
Do those that resist facing up to this have a religious agenda which clouds their science?

Not enough salt in the sea

Not enough helium in the atmosphere
Too much helium in rocks decay of earths magnetic field
Recession of the moon
Not enough sediment on the sea floor
Existence of short-lived comets
Spiral galaxies not wound up enough polonium haloes etc http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/view/3040/

And why are the flaws in old-age dating methods ignored:
20 year old volcanic rock at Mt St Helens dated as millions of years old.
All coal contains carbon 14 putting an absolute upper limit of 50k years old.
Diamonds contain carbon 14.
Dinosaur bones have been found containing soft tissue - hardly 65 millions years old ! http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/view/3059/ http://www.googlesyndicatedsearch.com/u/creationontheweb?q=dino+blood&hl=en&lr=

It doesn't take a PhD to figure out that things aren't quite as clear cut as some would have us all believe.

Current world population is estimated to be at 6,830,283,000+.
It is also estimated to be at 8,918,724,000+ by the year 2050. It won't take that long for the worlds current population to double. So what would happen, what would you think would happen?

If the world had a population of 16 Billion people? Could the world governments, possibly support that many people?

Surely by the time the population cap reaches 16billion the average nations would have atleast several hundred million people an the bigger nations such as China,Russia,U.S etc, would have well over a billion ( china and india, currently have over a billion)

Could the world possibly handle that many people? Would there be enough resources?

Ever been to Kerala. You should consider yourself lucky if you did not see the roads in a pathetic state. Mostly during monsoons and just after monsoons till the sun is up and about , the roads are in a mess filled with pot holes and crater sized holes. Why can't the state do something about this? Its the 21st century for God's sake. Any workable ideas to improve God's Own?? Country

Stress relief takes place along fractures, faults, joints and other primary or secondary surfaces in rocks. This destressing may not cause tremors to be felt by anyone located there. However, sensitive seismic instrumental network may record or fail to record them as micro-seism. However, by careful geological observations for micro-relief features along drainage lines, movements along s-surfaces in rocks one can at least know about presence of such activities in the area. I feel many of the slope failures in spite of remedial measures and landslides are caused by tectonic creep. Ignoring tectonic creep can have serious post construction failures along the layout of hydropower structures.
