Unlike science fair volcanoes, real volcanoes realease many dangerous gases. One of the gases released is sulfur dioxide, which is a major component of acid rain. In order to remove sulfur dioxide from the atmosphere, government clean-up programs combine it with calcium oxide to form calcium sulfite, a much safer compound.

Here is the balanced equation:
SO2CaO --> CaSO3

Here are the questions:
1. How many molecules of sulfur dioxide can be neutralized using 3 kilograms of calcium oxide?

2. How many liters of sulfur dioxide gas are neutralized in Question 3? (assume STP)

Atmospheric pressure only supports a column of water ~34 feet, so atmospheric pressure is not how water reaches the top of the tree.

Many thousands of years ago the Bible in ( Isaiah 40: 22 ) wrote :
22. He sits enthroned upon the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in" This verse alone proves that the Bible describes correctly the round earth.
Not only does it describe exact ly what the Scientists discovered very recently that this Univrse is Expanding.

Why then did Clumbus a Christian sail accross the Ocean trying to find the End of the Earth.

By barrier islands I mean the narrow strips of land that lay across an intracoastal waterway like those off the Carolinas or southeast Florida. The Pacific coasts have been around much longer so one would naturally assume that it would harbor more barrier islands, but it harbors almost none.
