A liter (or litre) is defined as a special name for a cubic decimetre. If you do a little calculation, you will find that 1 litre is equal to 1000 cc. Therefore, 1 millilitre (mL) = 1 cc (cubic centimetre.
So you need 50 cc of water to fill the graduated cylinder up to 50mL mark.
