will ever body be dead by the time global warming actually happens?

Question

im just concerned because i dont want to die when im in my twenties. and im concerned and i want to do something but everybody in my family says its not a big. deal. my mom sayed that they were saying the same stuff they are now when she was a teenager. i dont know what to do?

i know its already happening but i mean wont it take a hundred years before it happens

I think you're ahead of yourself, but okay to be worried and concerned. I think that's a long way from here before it happens. Right now just live your life to the fullest and don't worry about it.

It may not ever happen. Just because a bunch of people claim it will, based on junk science, does not mean it will happen. Let the real scientists, the unbiased ones, have a chance to figure out what really is happening before you go off in a frenzy.

While most of it is suppressed, a diligent person can uncover a lot of evidence that says global warming is not happening. Much of it is far more soundly based in real science than global warming is. Another obvious point that people seem to be missing is that if the globe is warming due to natural causes we do not want to tamper with it!!!

Global warming has been going on for awhile now and if we don't smarten up it will go on for a long time -but you have lots of time to work for the people that want to help the world slow down the process. It is a deadly process but very slow you should live to be an little old lady

Your mom is right, but if there is global warming, it will only effect little parts of the world and United States. If you live in Utah or where there are high mountains you will be fine trust me a lot of states will be fine and when this does happen you might already be dead. This is nothing to worry about, I used to have the same fear. :-)Good Luck!

Global warming is simply the increase in mean temperature of the earth, aka its getting warmer. But the time scale is something people are arguing over. Global warming is a fact, but what is causing it and what effect it might have on the environment are highly disputed.

Even if global warming melted the ice caps I think our society would be able to adapt to it. It is important though for us to try to limit its causes to protect future generations.

Long story short, yes I think you can count on seeing your 20s. Hope this helps.

My mam says the same, eveery thing like tornadoes tsumamis and every thing are happening because of global warming i am really scared if i die in my twentys/ 30s
so i wouldnt know :S

get your mom to watch Al Gore's movie on global warming.. And my belief is that people will gradually die, depending on the area and the impact of global warming on that particular area.. I don't believe that it will happen all at once for example...Anyway, just live your life as though today is your last day on earth, but don't do anything stupid or illegal...good luck to you..

Yes, we can say that the Hurricane Katrina meet Louisiana because of global warming. (But with less global warming we had probably other weaker Hurricanes)

The effects of global warming on hurricanes are :

- More Hurricane
- The way of hurricane is shifted to the north
- Hurricane will have more energy, i.e. they are more destructive
- Season of hurricane will shift/extend
- Prediction of hurricanes will came more difficult (unstable atmosphere)
