I only know that Richter scale 3 will shake 0.1 mm at a distance of 100 kilometer. It increases by ten fold for each Richter scale magnitude. Give example how it will vary according the distance of epicenter. They say it is Inverse Square of the distance. Please explain with a model calculation. If an earthquake is measured from a distance of 2000 kilometers from epicenter and if the magnitude is 9 in Richter scale what will be the maximum shaking. Will the S wave pass through sea water.?

we are beat......we pay taxes for the ones that can cross the border sit on the corner in billions!!! I"m not a racist but however what happenend to the ones that had to go through every step... givin a hard time...struggled to become a citizen after 30 years and become one.......................and for the ones that were born here... o don't let me get started......they come across get pregnant go into our emergency rooms, not asked for there coverage and get seen............when the bill comes..it's in our mail boxes saying we had to go up on your taxes, gas, morgage, insurance,rent and let me not go to explain what else...... where do we go when we are over populated ............... do u think the white house rent rooms?
