Exactly correct. Since they're not here, time travel is impossible.

Sounds reasonable but since their isnt anyone from the future here that must mean that no one will ever be able to make a time machine. Of course it could also mean that the world will end in the near future before someone could build a time machine.

Maybe time machines HAVE been built, and people from the future ARE here. They just don't want us to know this, 'cause.. well, isn't the cardinal rule of time travel to "Not alter the past"? God forbid they'd kill their own grandparents, or something.

Think about it.

Yes you are correct and just like some have answered: How do you know they're NOT here?

If you think about it, most of what we see and know is on television or the Internet. There could be a place where they stay and keep and eye on us, (Area 51?) and we have no clue - only our government knows. I think that idea is a bit far fetched though.

Maybe the people from the future ended up in the past and your grandfather has not been born yet. Think about that.

Mess with my head and there is always a backlash.

True, but what if time travel could only be accomplished in a way that allowed you to be present, but not in a physical sense?

For example, someone might be able to observe the past in real time, but from a different dimension.

I'm here, but obviously I don't dare prove it to you because then you could change the future and I might not even be born.

Just goes to show how stupid arguing about some things is.

Yes. But being seen could alter things.
