I'm having a birthday party August 5th in south eastern Michigan. I was wondering if the Farmer's Alminac or something might tell me the likelyhood it will rain on that day.

PEAK OIL THEORY basicly says that in the few years or so the world supply of oil will not be able to meet demand anymore (since the 70's many individual countries have reached peak oil and then have to import to meet demand...like the USA) Once the entire world reaches peak however...all that can happen is the collapse of the entire world economy. Or so goes the theory. (Type "Peak Oil' into a search engine if you haven't heard about it) Anyway, some people think we can switch over to alternate energy sources...but many admit there is no time...oil makes the world go round. What do you think is going to happen

I've read that it's classed as high risk, and a supervolcano. And that hundreds of thousands of years ago, there were such massive blasts of ash from its explosions that they covered about half of what is now the contiguous United States. Another explosion could send the world into darkness and kill millions. Likely? Any sort of speculation, scholarly or otherwise, is welcome. ;)

Indeginouse people have always been tricked out of their land or they have been killed off. Will mankind repeat history and kill off the aliens? Do governments have a set standered of conduct? Or is that only on Star Trek?
