In the 1980s Radio Shack distributed a record cleaning protectant that they no longer make. When sprayed on the surface of the vinyl, the fluid QUICKLY evaporates right before your eyes. However, although no ingredients are listed the label says "non flammable and non toxic" and has a kind of "plastic" smell that seems to have a residue feeling on the hands after use - so that rules out Isopropyl Alcohol - but what other clear liquid dissolves or evaporates on contact?

The media has obviously avoided mentioning them. I assume there are a number of options. However, isn't it ridiculous to prevent people from bringing on tiny bottles of liquid like eye drops and lip balm? Or are the the substances when mixed even in tiny amounts that explosive? I'm afraid that even by asking this question I'll get a visit from the FBI.
