The media has obviously avoided mentioning them. I assume there are a number of options. However, isn't it ridiculous to prevent people from bringing on tiny bottles of liquid like eye drops and lip balm? Or are the the substances when mixed even in tiny amounts that explosive? I'm afraid that even by asking this question I'll get a visit from the FBI.

The bombs suspected in this latest episode are in the peroxide
based category.Similar to nitro-glycerin, these chemicals are
extremely unstable and were alleged to have been detonated
using a disposable camera or an MP-3 player.Yes tiny amounts
are very explosive, but larger quanities would have been needed
to do significant damage.

very bad question. Why give some kids reading yahoo questions any ideas. I don't think answering this would be a threat from terrorist rather I do believe it would give bad ideas to messed kids who are on a mission.

Do you remeber the kid who flew a plane into a Jacksonville,FL Building on a suicide mission after Sept 11?

It's probably Nitro Glycerin. I think I saw something about that stuff on "The Legend of Zoro". But I don't think a little bottle would blow up a whole plane.

there are countless possibilities of things that could be used. there are a few that would be simplest to use. i am not going to discuss any of them because i believe we are at war and loose lips sink ships.

what is ridiculous is that we are so stupid and naive and sit here while there are people planning our deaths. we must be more vigilant about this and proactively stop them.
