For example you can't study religion using science because religion comes from the past and the past is history and we learn about religion from history. You can't use science experiments to learn what the meaning of religion is.

what happens to the gastro intestinal (GI) tract of multi-cellular organisms when they feed on the most basic food source (i.e. amino acids, lipids, glucose etc)? theoretically, Is the length of the GI tract reduced? would the stomach and some other parts still be present through thousands of years? or would the organism evolve to something of lesser GI length? i mean, if the organism feeds on the most basic components, wouldn't the stomach and other parts be non-functional?
