Okay the orginial problem was this... Determine the emperical and molecular formula for caffine that contains 49.47% carbon, 5.20% hydrogen, 28.86% nitrogen, and 16.47% oxygen. The molecular mass of caffine is 194.2 g/mole.

I have already determined that the emperical formula is C4H5N2O.

I know that you take 194.2/43.04 and that gives you roughly 4.5 which in this case would round to 5. I know that this 5 is what determined the molecular formula. What my question for you is, in the equation C4H2N5O. Does the 5 get added to the subscripts or multiplied?

I've noticed on here many people have been asking about the Mayan Calender ending December 21, 2012. 2012 is NOT the end of the world and I would suggest you stay away from any books telling you how you could survive. Huge Scam. 2012 in Mayan calender is when Quetzalcoatl, the mayan feathered serpent their god is to return to earth and unite all of mine kind into a universal belief. It's also the darkest day of the year and its the end of a 5000 year cycle when all of the planets align on the milky way.

Anyways, I thought I'd clear this up. IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!!!

This map, I am speculating, will be spatial and have all topics on the internet in clusters like the world lit up in the night and seen from a satellite. Where there is more activity there would be more light. This light could be related to the number of page hits, or backlinks, or bytes of data or a mixture of all. It could be a map of the world wide web, spatially so that people can get a sense of where the most activity is and try and see the diversity of topics as well. A lot of people could get involved in this project. (or has this already been done? : p I guess not. There is an internet traffic report for networks but this would be different.

The telescope was set up and pointed at Venus. My mother can see the planet clearly yet when I put my eye to it, it is just blackness. I do wear glasses and I tried it with glasses, no glasses and contacts. The same each time. We even tried pointing it at a street light, same problem. Can some people just not see through a telescope?

I`m a 10th grade girl and am interested in engineering-particularily mechanical. My math and science background is very good-I have always been in the advanced courses. I`m trying to decide if I should go into engineering because I long to design and improve our world, but I had disliked a robotics and inventions class that I took. I`m not in love with math, but I`m fascinated by machines and how they work. What`s it really like being a mecha engineer?
