If you believe all that stuff is some elaborate hoax, then the pictures of the round earth from space would have to be faked, and thus there is no proof the earth is round, and thus you would logically believe the earth was flat and if you sailed long enough you would fall off the edge, right?

There is a ray of light falling on a plane mirror. When the mirror is turned through 5º, the reflected ray is found to have moved by 10º.
Why does that happen?

TRUE OR FALSE

1. If a magnet and a wire are moving at 5m/s to the right then there will be an induced current.

2.If a conducting rod is moved perpendicular to the field lines of a magnet a current will be induced.

3.When the flux through a loop changes a current is induced.

4.The induced e.m.f (electromotive force) tends to oppose the flux causing it.

In response to my earlier question about evolution and global warming, I read answers that both are theories. My question is, what is a theory? Is it not what does not have evidence/ proof yet, but can be tested? In that regard, Evolution simply CANNOT be a theory, since it has proof enough that it exists and happens. Creationism or the existence of God's design can be a "theory" at best. Global warming also to the best of my knowledge has become a "fact" rather than a theory, looking at the melting of the ice caps in the polar regions. Or does we need actual changes from a monkey population to a human population for evolution to be deemed a fact? Then again people will call it a "Miracle" of creation!

I am leaving in less than a month to study abroad in South Africa. I have heard that on occasion lions wander into the city where I will live. If I should see a lion wandering about, does anyone know what to do? Especially if it should walk up to me?

Thank you!

okay , i understand how to do it and i have my own way of figuring it out ,but how do i properly write it down?
examples-

+2 + -9=

i write it out like so=

9-2=7
then add the minus symbol because 9 is the larger number in the equation so it's

9-2= -7

but the correct way to write it is like so?

+2 + -9=

2-9= -7 ???

is this the proper way to write it out?

An object leaves earth, attains light speed, also being observed from earth. It then switches two lights 'on' one forward the other aft. Light will/should leave from these two points at the speed of light? Now the question.
1) Will light at the forward end leave at the speed of light relative to the craft and from earth appear to exceed the speed of light?
2) Light leaving at the aft end of the craft will leave at the speed of light relative to the craft but since the craft is already traveling at the speed of light in the opposite direction, will light appear on earth as stopped?
If we have to accept that everything is relative. Then light in question 1, will travel faster than the speed of light, relative to earth where the object emitting light left from. Light leaving the craft (aft) can never be seen since it will never reach earth owing to its source receeding at the speed of light.
How do we know the universe is expanding if it does so at light speed, another question?
