okay , i understand how to do it and i have my own way of figuring it out ,but how do i properly write it down?
examples-
+2 + -9=
i write it out like so=
9-2=7
then add the minus symbol because 9 is the larger number in the equation so it's
9-2= -7
but the correct way to write it is like so?
+2 + -9=
2-9= -7 ???
is this the proper way to write it out?

There really is not a "proper" way to write it just know that when adding a positive and negaive if the positive is bigger the answer will be positive, think of it like this +2 + -9= 2-9=-7. Replace the addition sign with subtraction and then just work from there. Don't let the signs screw you up

correct way is
absolut value of -9=9 is greater than the absolute value of 2 which is 2
so subtract 2 from 9
you get 7
so the answer is 7 with a negative sign as the no with the higher absolute value had a negative sign
writing the steps
+2+-9
=-7

The correct way to write this problem is:
2 + (-9) or -9 + 2
= -7
You can't change the sign in front of 2, it stays positive and 9 stays negative.

Whatever you do, don't write 9-2 = -7. That's not true, you know that 9-2=7.

I'm not totally sure on your logic, but you did arrive at the right answer. The correct way to write it is indeed 2-9=-7.

+2 + -9 = -7
The last two are the 'right' way to write this.
Usually you leave off the + on positive numbers and use parenthesis if it isn't clear.
Y + (-X) = Y - X

Yes, but your way is really neat. I've never seen it done like that! However, the second way is considered "proper".
