I am struck by the apparent contradiction that a photon or light wave can have enough energy to travel such vast distances and yet have so little energy that it can be interrupted so easily.

Use completing the square to show that the x-intercepts of y+ax^2+bx+c occur at the value x= (negative b plus or minus the square root of b squared minus 4ac) divided by 2a.

If you can't type it out can you find a site where it shows how to do this step by step? Thanks in advance.

I was wondering, in mph or some other form of measuring speed like miles per hour, at what speed does blood circulate through your body?

The other day I accidentally got a big whiff of cleaning solution and it literally went "right to my head".

I know that the time it takes for oxygen to from your lungs to reach your brain has to be a matter of seconds after you inhale because the pulmonary circuit is very short in comparison with the systemic circuit, but I was wondering what the "speed" of blood was?

A friend agave me this puzzling proof that 1=1=3. It sounds stupid but look:
x = y
-x2= -xy
x2 - y2 = x2 - xy
(x + y)(x - y) = x(x - y)
x + y = x
1 + 1 =2
2 = 1
I can't believe it!

PS the "2" at the end is a "squared."
