While it is theoretically possible, Isaac Asimov wrote in the forward to one of his robot novels that a positronic brain would have no advantages over an electronic brain. He used the positronic brain in his robot stories because he felt that it sounded "science fictiony".

Possible, just look at data (just joking from star trek is android with positronic brain). If you think about it we are biological machines, just like you can make a robotic arm you can make a robotic brain. I don't think this will happen for years to come because with that type of intelligence you risk "Battle Star Galactica" scenario They could out smart us and take over. So hopeful no one will do this except to lengthen life.

basicly, you are talking aobut a robot. The brain is what makes someone human.If you have a mechanical brain, its more robot than human
