the velocity of a bloodcorpuscle in a vessel depends on how far the the corpuscle is from the center of the vessel. let r be the constant radius of the vessel ; Vm , , the constant maximum velocity of the corpuscle ; r, the distance from the center to a particular blood corpuscle (variable); and Vr, the velocity of that corpuscle . the velocity Vr, is related to the distance according to Vr=Vm(1-r^2/R^2). find r when Vr=1/4 Vm.

I know this is far out there, but here it goes - years ago I heard about some guy who theorized that there's actually a hole/cave that runs through the earth from pole to pole. I would imagine that this hole/cave would be pretty big as the guy felt that UFO's were able to travel through it. The guy was supposedly going to try to find this and travel through it himself. Has anyone ever heard of this, and if so, what was the guy's name?
