Baby Names - September 2007

[Selected]: All categories Pregnancy & Parenting Baby Names

I am 32 weeks pregnant with my husband and I's 4th and final child. Another little boy. All of our other children are named after constellations.
Sirius Robert 12 (pre harry potter mania)
Orion Thomas 8
Ascella Marie 4
We want to name our son Clayton Michael but we dont know if this will make him feel left out from his other siblings. Should we go with this name or choose another constellation?

We fell in love with the names Kingston David for a boy and Kinsley Annabelle for a girl. some people suggested David Kingston for a boy and Annabelle Kinsley for a girl. What do you think? Stick with our first choices or go with what other people say?

The last name is Gerth. This is my boyfriend's last name and we're not expecting, but I'm assuming one day (after marriage)...

I really like feminine names like Celeste, Asha, Holly, Juliet... but do these names work with such a masculine last name? I guess another problem is that his last name reminds me of a penis... haha... as in penis girth. So, I would have a hard time naming a girl "Lacey Gerth" or something (I would picture a penis in a dress).

I know, it's weird. But what do you think? Better to go with stronger girls names?

Delete one name from the boys section and one from the girls section. The next person copies and pastes their answer and then deletes one from each of their own. At the end we end up with two winning names that survived elimination.

GIRLS:
Edie, Astrid, Keilah, Madeline, Freya, Molly, Aurora, Rorie, Tegan, Olivia, Poppy, Madison, Holly, Xaxphia, Sophia
DELETED:

BOYS:
Callum, Archie, Felix, Micah, Liam, Ruben, Isaac, Jacob, Freddie, Caleb, Harry, George, Joseph, Mattius, Benjamin
DELETED:

Please check the three posts at the end before you post to see if two people have posted at the same time and someones eliminations have got lost. Please delete all names that people have elimnated.

Ok i understand that not everyone will like the name i choose for my baby. But why does everyone have to be down right rude and automaticlly assume a child will be made fun of if they have a unique name? Names like John, Michael, Paul, James, Crystal, Christine etc..... are way to common. Last yr alone my son had 2 Michael's and 3 Crystal's in his class.
The first girls name i like was Lyleena and the Ly is pronounced like "li" in "little". I don't mind take critisism but why be so rude about it. Most children loves their names as they get older only a very small percentage actually hate their names and i think at some point we all wish we could change our names.

Okay so we are 12 weeks pregnant and my husband and i are already arguing about names. For a girl i like
Myeisha(my-ee-ss-a) which means "one whis greatly loved" and is an african name, and for a boy i like Luchian. My husband thinks that because we are "white" we should give our child a white name and i believe there is nothing wrong with adding ethnicity to a name no matter what color you are.
And they both think that Luchian is a reference to the devil but everything i have looked up says otherwise.
Am i wrong for wanting ethnicity in our babies name? Is there really a such thing as a white name?
Lastly do you think these names are too outrageous?
Please no rude comments.
Thanks

We are having our ultrasound in October, and we've been trying to start our list off with some names, but are finding it hard, because a lot of web pages offer a lot of names I can't even pronounce, let alone think of naming our child that! Would you people be able to help us out with a couple of names? TIA
