We fell in love with the names Kingston David for a boy and Kinsley Annabelle for a girl. some people suggested David Kingston for a boy and Annabelle Kinsley for a girl. What do you think? Stick with our first choices or go with what other people say?

Hmm ... I DO like them better reversed (with Kingston/Kinsley in the middle). It just has a very classy, surname/middle name feel that way, so the flow is lovely. Just seems natural, know what I mean?

For what it's worth, I like Annabel Kinsley (or Kinsey ... not sure if that option has been mentioned, but it's generally taken to mean "victorious king") even better. All the Ls with the -belle/-ley spellings are just a bit visually overwhelming. Just a thought. ;)

After reading the other comments, I also wanted to add that the logic of David Kingston or Annabelle Kinsley sounding too much like a first and last name is quite flawed. Most often, when the middle name is mentioned, it will be in conjunction WITH the last name ... the entire name in full. So if that's their concern, I'd think they'd be much more worried about Kingston Miller (just an example, not knowing the actual last name LOL) sounding like TWO last names, as opposed to David Miller or David Kingston Miller seeming perfectly natural.

I like Kingston David as it is, but I personally prefer Annabelle Kinsley. But I do love the name Annabelle so maybe I'm biased.

Overall, do what you want. I have a friend who brother and sister are both called by their middle names, they've inverted them, so it's not the be all and end all.

I like David Kingston and Annabelle Kinsley much, much more than the reverse.

I think it sounds better when you switch them to David Kingston and Annabelle Kinsley.

Oh god, don't listen to people and give your kids those boring names.... Even though I think Kingston and Kinsley are going to be very overused soon, and get too popular, they're still better than David and Annabelle.... Stick with your first choices.... I just hope you don't have a boy AND a girl - I really, really despise "matching" names... but it's your kid.

I would switch them. I hate that falling in love with names doesn't always mean the names will flow together! All four of those names are great, but I think they sound sweeter when you change them around. I wouldn't go with the suggestion of just calling them by their middle names...however, if you like the names Kinsley and Kingston better than David and Annabelle, go with your gut! You're going to be saying their first names more often than their middle names, so decide carefully! Good luck! :)

I like them switched around. Kingston and Kinsley are more trendy names that may make your child's name sound dated a few years down the line (think Crystal). I would stick with the more traditional David or Annabelle for a first name.

I think David Kingston sounds like a full name. While it does flow nicely, it flows as if it were a first and last name - not really a first and middle. I'd stick with Kingston David if you really like it, although it makes me wonder what kids will call him in school - King? lol

The same goes for Kinsley Annabelle really, although it would work a little better than the other name if switched around.

Personally, I like David Kingston and Annabelle Kinsley better, but either way (reversed or not)... they're nice names.

I actually agree with switching the name around for Kingston but for Kinsley Annabelle either way is cute.
