Ok i understand that not everyone will like the name i choose for my baby. But why does everyone have to be down right rude and automaticlly assume a child will be made fun of if they have a unique name? Names like John, Michael, Paul, James, Crystal, Christine etc..... are way to common. Last yr alone my son had 2 Michael's and 3 Crystal's in his class.
The first girls name i like was Lyleena and the Ly is pronounced like "li" in "little". I don't mind take critisism but why be so rude about it. Most children loves their names as they get older only a very small percentage actually hate their names and i think at some point we all wish we could change our names.

its your baby, if you wanted to name it buttface you could and everyone else would just have to accept it. Dont let the people on here that are rude make you upset, they are probably just jealous becuase they cant come up with something as unique. I personally LOVE lyleena. How many do you know? i dont know any lol. My name is ashley....so you can imagine how i am all for unique names lol.

There's nothing wrong with having an unusual name. I think some parents go too far, though, and give their children truly crazy and weird names. What I did when I was considering names was to get a list of the top 20 names in popularity for that year and throw them out. In the case of my older daughter, she didn't need to be yet another Jessica or Ashley. She's gone to school with literally dozens of them. Even though her own name is not an odd or unusual one, she's been consistently the only girl in her school with the name. It was actually a more popular name when I was her age.

I have a very unusual name, India, and I have never been bullied about it or picked on in any way! Everyone just accepted when I started school that India was my name and no one really thought about it. I love my unusual name. The only time a child would get bullied is if their name was something totally stupid like Apple or Rumpelstiltskin. Not sure what it's like in the US but the UK is very multicultural so most names are foreign/unusual. In the UK it is perfectly normal for children to have Asian/African/Caribbean/European names or just totally made up names. This is why I love to live in a multicultural society; people are very accepting.

You should always go with what you like.
I named my children common strong English names (to honor their heritage). The only thing is that we don't live in an English speaking country.
They are the only ones in their class, in their whole school, possibly even in the whole country with their names.
Lots of times they have had other children pick on them or laugh at them. In America, no one would bat an eye at their names.
What I am basically saying is that what may be normal for me, may not be normal for you. You can't please everybody regardless so, go with what you want.
Kids will tease whether someone has a "normal" name or a unique name.
Good luck!

Yikes interior the language i'm keen on that undeniable fact that i don't could desire to be formal to be understood,,, nicely each so often I do i think, yet whilst this wasn't very almost language i'm keen on a lot of stuff. Um perhaps not plenty keen on dangling participles. that sounds like sexually impolite. Are prepositions something comparable to propositions? Um, I preface a superb variety of what I say with "Um" does that count quantity? Is a prefix, like a correction previously the fact knowin yer gonna make a mistake?

Whew, glad that didn't include me, lol.
Mine was only aimed at other children making fun of your child, or hating on them. Having a tough time in school is not always an easy thing to overcome...
But, I still like the names, lol.

i actually like the name!

It's only you that has to like the name and the child eventually! I personal went for older names which have come back into fashion, William and Tobias. I didn't ask anyone if they liked it as their names are very personal to our family.

Keep your chin up!

well, I'm not fond of your spelling or grammar.

i don't like Lyleena because you had to add the pronunciation after it. why choose a name that will be mis-pronounced all the time?
