Why is there not a place on any ballot paper indicating that you do not wish any of the candidates to be your representative? Surely the way to be a true democracy is to give voters the ability to let political parties etc. know that voters are not wanting any of those put forward to be their representative. At present in UK, and I far I know nowhere else, is there a way of going to the poll and registering this. Hence we end up with governments wanted by, at most, 15% of the voters. This we are told is a democracy!

And the husband of Obama's rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. Hillary Clinton, suggested that electing the Illinois Democrat to be commander-in-chief would be a "risk."

"If you listen to the people who are most strongly for him, they say basically, 'We have to throw away all these experienced people, because they have been through the wars of the nineties,'" Clinton said in an interview on PBS' The Charlie Rose show. I am talking about electoral votes which won Bush his presidency even though the overall vote totals in for instance Ohio was in favor of Kerry. Our forefathers created this system because it didn't believe that the people of the time weren't smart enough to vote for the right person due to widespread illiteracy. This time of illiteracy (not educational level) has come and gone so should we change the electoral vote process?

I read something that said he may use a "state of emergency"
ruse, or some other tactic, to avoid handing over the presidency in '08, and continue on with the Cheney regime.
I hadn't thought of it but now that it has been mentioned I
can't help but think it sounds horribly possible.

So I guess Chuck Norris is also a racist because he supports presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee? This is total madness. I've heard people say that Oprah supports Obama because Obama is black. If Obama beats Hillary at least it can get her out of the game and hopefully keep her from ever trying this again.

She can not be allowed in office,

If Ron Paul wins the R. nomination there is a 99% chance he will win the election against anyone.(Especially Hillary)

But the most important thing this election is keeping Hillary and the Socialist party out of power and knocking her off her high horse once and for all.

I'm not saying who you like - or who's policies you like better. But solely on the basis of going head to head against a Republican. I don't think he has the maturity, is tough enough and really knows what he's getting himself into. Whether you like Hillary or not - she is a bulldozer and has the strength to run in the kind of elections that happen nowadays.

This isn't about who you support - its who you think can handle running against another Republican. I think someone like McCain would eat Obama for breakfast.

Is increasingly obvious that the GOP is acutely aware that in this coming election, along with their other liabilities, for the first time in memory they will not have a financial advantage in campaign funds. The Democrats have raised more money.
On the other hand there is no better organization than the Evangelicals when it comes to major fund raising. This is well out of the league of just passing the plate.
Does the name Tammy Lee baker ring a bell? She had her own major theme park. They peddle prosperity beads and healing cloths on prime time major TV networks and those spots are not cheep. In the old days they placed their hands on your head now it is in your pockets. When Huckabee needed ready cash he hooked up with major tobacco. The Evangelicals who have been asked to appear before congress, and should be siphoned shortly are being investigated for their tax exempt status. This is major league money.

Now the question is: they did not get all the control they wanted by just delivering votes. What will they demand if they deliver both the votes and the money? Everyone on your knees will move out of the church and on to the streets, the schools and our places of work. Are you ready for this?

Hillary has looked very frustrated with Obama, and she seems very, very rattled and upset at him during the debates when he expresses she is Washington as usual regarding her past policies of agreement with those in our government at this time. While giving Obama the evil eye, as he was speaking, she seemed to have lowly mumbled or mouthed the N-Word under her breath at him! Will she go that crazy should he beat her in the early primaries and her chances tank?
