I personaly was thrilled. I have noticed a sort of trend lately that I am dismayed at. It seems that movies and books, are coming out with more and more stories about real life killers. The reason I am upset by this is that the victims families are being forced to constantly hear about the murder of thier loved ones. A big factor in the decision to cancel the Simpson book was the pain being caused to the victims family. How would you feel if the man you believed was responsible for killing your loved one was not only free, but making money off a book about whether or not they killed them? The Simpson book is not the only form of media that is insensitve to the victims loved ones, the movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre for example is about Ed Gein who killed real people. How would you feel if you were sitting at home watching TV and a preview for a movie about the murder of your loved ones came on? These books and movies are just wrong in my opinion.

I heard on tv last night that his book "If I Did It, This Is How" he actually admits to killing them. They were going to do a tv show on OJ's book, but everyone was so pissed off that Fox had to drop it. I'm one of those who actually thought he didn't do it. If anyone has any detail, please inform us here. Thanks!

Tody it's reported that the cost of building the Olympic village has gone up by 40% because of the increased cost of steel. The extra £800k will be met by the London taxpayer. I bet they're thrilled! The whole cost of staging the Olympics is now estimated at £3.4 billion. Unlikely to stay at that figure over the next six years. Can we - do we want to - afford this?

It is reported that Katie's Amarni wedding dress came at a cost of $10 million dollars. When we consider the BILLIONS of under-nourished and under-educated people in the world, or the medical research needing funding, or any of the many other world problems, could she not have found a better use for that money? Surely a $10,000 wedding dress would have been sufficient, even for them?

I thought the book hadn't come out yet and now will never be released, but on CNN they said the book has been selling well and is now the 20th most popular book on the shelves. Will they be pulled? Nobody I know has read it yet, but I've always wondered about the murder weapon (the knife). I think I know where it is, but I'd love to hear what the Juice said about it. Also, did he exonerate AC and Kardashian? Did he talk about his flight to Chicago and "THE" phone call? Curious minds want to know.
BTW, does anyone feel cheated by Fox's "supposed" moral decision. OJ wasn't cheated....he still got his $3 million advance. Why was Judith Regan and Rupert Murdoch allowed to pay him directly? Shouldn't that money go directly to Denise and Fred? The only people who got cheated are us, the public who sacrificed months and months, hour upon hour, watching the trial. We deserve to know the truth. Fred and Kim should've allowed it to air and demand that Fox give them the $3 mil.

...Me, Moorglademover Courier Services.
Got a phone call early tuesday morning, 0600.
Could i pick up a package and deliver it to somewhere
near Grimsby. Yup!
Went to pick it up from a depot near Birmingham and
they'd lost the paperwork! Without the paperwork, impossible
to locate the package... After finding the paperwork, 0845. I handed
it to the warehouseman who then went in search of the goods.
Coming back half an hour later saying he couldn't find the
package, my eyebrow twitched!
0920 the warehouse boss came out and took the paperwork
to see if he could find the package. He disappeared into the bowels
of the warehouse just as someone came round another corner with
my parcel.
20 minutes later my paperwork comes back round the same corner
my package did 20 minutes previously!
On my way now.
Stay with me.
Easy run, M42, M1, M18, M180. On the way up. Came back scenic
route, no rush!
Got home at about 1600(4pm), grabbed a cup of tea and went and sat
at the computer at about 1630. Looked out of the window and saw 6-7
kids on the wall opposite. There is a fairley busy road between our house
and the wall opposite. These kids, or one in particular saw it in himself
to thrwo a rock at a passing van. The stone bounced off the roof.
He then bent down and picked a five foot branch and hurled that
into the road. I shouted to Pat to phone the police and i was down the
stairs out the door and legged it across the road, narrowly missing being
hit by a car that had to swerve to avoid the branch in the road. Up the wall
the other side, which has a gate in it, and after the ne who did the deed.
Got him. His mates knew they'd screwed up, and so did the one i'd got
my hands on.
Dragged him back to our house while Pats still on the phone to the police.
This, boy, would not under any circumstances come in the house to
keep warm. I wasn't gonna force him. So we stood on the front of the house
waiting for the police to turn up.
Half an hour later, Pat phoned 'em again to see what was going on, and it was
suggested we would run him round home, he lived about amile away.
I relished this! I wanted to see what his parents thought of his little
escapade.
So we did. His mom wasn't pleased!
I gotto explain. I'm a driver, been driving lorries and vans for 12 years now
and I have seen a lot of deaths and carnage on the roads. I've seen the result
of something being hurled through a windscreen and the drivers lost control.
Which made it all the more unbelieveable how calm and collected and MINDFUL
of what I was doing when I'd grabbed this kid and 'detained' him at my house.
1800, the police turned up.
After taking notes, NOT a statement, we had a chat. I expressed my 'concerns'
of a possibility of 'repurcussions' on my part. Civil action by the kids parents
is what i was trying to tell him.
He said, "Not on my bloody patch. You did quite right in doing what you did
and I'm going to see that this young man will get a visit from an unimpressed
police officer!"
They left at 1845.
I had my tea and went back to my computer.
Wednesday I didn't work

...Eamonn.

Hey guys! I am an RA in a freshman dorm and most of my residents were born in 1988 so I wanted to do a bulletin board celebrating that year. As someone who was only born two years earlier I am having a hard time finding things besides the presidential election, tv shows that debuted and the Jamaican bobsled team. If you all can think of anything else that would be of interest to college aged students that would be FABULOUS! Also, I was wondering if there was a website that listed things such as the price of a gallon of milk, or a ticket to the movie theater and such like that specifically for 1988. Anything on this year specifically or links to cool facts would be awesome.

Thanks in Advance Guys!!!

Ok...the kelly and clay thing. I thing she is over dramatizing it. I have seen the clip of clay putting his hand over her mouth. It wasnt that big of deal. Kelly WAS domineering the interview. THen she goes on regis today and said Clay was "hostile" and "impropriety" and was not a gentlemen. And THEN she brags up how HOward STern and his slut girlfriend gave her such a supportive phone call. OOOOOKKKKKK
anyone else on clay's side?

I would be interested to hear your comments about the recent controversy surrounding OJ Simpson's book and the interview on the fox network that was cancelled.

Here is a sub-question (and I'm white) Do you think that the same thing would happen if the races were reversed?

I think it is an interesting question to ask and one asked in all seriousness.

Thanks for your answers.
