If he is a Muslim, shouldn't he swear on the Quran, since that is the book he considers holy? If he were made to swear on the Bible, and he doesn't consider that book sacred, then isn't that the same thing as if he were to swear on, say, "The Lord of the Rings" or something? I just find this whole "controversy" absolutely bizarre... I thought one of the key principles of America was freedom of religion.

Someone please tell me I am not alone in thinking this whole thing is ridiculous, or at least explain the other side of the debate to me in logical terms (logical, please... meaning try leaving the word "terrorist" out if at all possible!).

With his two young daughters looking on, he jumped onto Subway tracks to help a young man who had just taken a seziure. A train was only seconds away. He had no time to lift the teen to safty and instead rolled ontop of the teen in the subways gutter hopeing the train would pass over them. Lukily it did.. Pass this news on please.

This is a very serious question. I`m not "liberal bashing" here. Can anyone explain to me and the rest of us why the "left" always seems to defend anti-civilization forces at every instance? ( Gititmo, Saddam`s hanging, Tookie...etc...) Whether it`s the police officers, laws, government, or the good of mankind, liberals always seem to side with the adversary. I could offer my opinion but this is Yahoo Questions and I want to know what you think....Well ???

The main thought that I had about this great man is that he was there when our nation needed a president. Yes, pardoning President Nixon may have done him in, at least he forgave him. How many of us would forgive someone that did something.
Gerald Ford also brought us through a trying time. Where would we be without this great man of thought, deed, and courage?

Shouldn't Saddam be executed last to make the news more attractive? Why did they put Saddam first and his co-defendent last?

I just saw the clip taken from a cell phone. It was staged. It takes a least 30 for someone to hang there and die. Plus, what's with the big, thick scarf around his neck?? Not to mention all the conversation between him and the executioners'.

It's all BS!!!! Get ready for the bombs. You thought 9/11 was bad...sh*t. It's on now!!!! Nobody's safe!!!!

God Bless all of us.

mostly everyone on here is saying that saddam got his just serve, but no one is realizing that he was a terrorist and death meant nothing to him. he thinks he served his purpose. to people that believed in him, he is looked at as a hero. i think they should have let him live and suffer and be ridiculed for the rest of his life. the only way he would have felt anything, was if he was put to shame. a man of that much power and hate has only one thing to live for and thats their pride, take that away and you have truly defeated him.
