Shouldn't Saddam be executed last to make the news more attractive? Why did they put Saddam first and his co-defendent last?

Precisely because he was most important. This is not a drama or ceremony. This is a criminal case, and the one with the highest priority goes first.

I don't know. Maybe they hated Saddam for his bad deeds so they got rid of him first.
