Is Conrad Black a joke or a serious problem?

A few years ago he renounced his Canadian citizenship just so that the Queen could tap him on the head with a sword and pronounce him Sir Conrad. A standing joke is that in order to become knighted by the Queen( or king) someone already has to be a knight. Now that he is in trouble in the United States, he wants his Canadian citizenship back.

Why does the United States appear to be able to handle him more effectively than Canada?

Kevin O'Leary on the Report on Business Channel seems to regard him with a mixture of awe and amusement.

If "Sir Tubby", through income tax evasion and fraud, seems to specialize in robbing liquid assets, does this tendency make him potentially less lethal than are George W. Bush and Stephen Harper through their foreign and military policies?

I am looking for opinions.

My thoughts:
Those two killers are f$%$%#$ *** wipes for what they did. i dont have that many friends either, but id never freakin kill some body coz i fell left out!!! i give my deepest grieviences for the kids who lost their lives and their family and friends. the victims did nothing wrong and didnt deserve to die, we should all pray that something like this'll never happen again.

What about if getting happy got to be unbearable after awhile, and you just wanted to vent? Would that not be hell?
Look at the Stefford Wives, or the Osmond Brothers, or the
"Up with People" band that plays at Disney World.
Would you really BE happy, being happy 24/7.

I think in heaven they should let people be crabby once in a while
just to even things out, and they can have a "crabby" section of
Heaven just for this purpose, like a designated smokers section.

I heard on the news that Kim Jong Il issued a statement that any further efforts on the part of the United States in trying to get North Korea to disarm would be considered an act of war. What's your take on the matter, and what do you think we should do?

It's called Blue Gene. Here are some pics of it:

Blue Gene is discovering things about the proteins and cells of the body that it took years to discover previously in a mattern of seconds.......

Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting Blue Gene, so smart it makes
Hal fro 2001 look like an imbicle.

Let's here it for the good folks at IBM, that have created this amazing thing that apparently few know about

I'm not a fan of paternalistic laws, adults can make decisions for themselves as long as others have an easy way of avoiding exposure and society doesn't have to pay the cost for their decisions (e.g., health related costs of smoking, smoking contribution to traffic accidents, etc.). Wondering out loud though whether taking children into a smoking section so that the parents can smoke should be a societal concern?

Manufacturers know how to make food perfectly safe from bacterial contamination. They don't because most people are too stupid to discern the difference between irradiated food and radioactive substances.

Most people think they will grow a tail or an extra limb if they eat irradiated food, even though they use a microwave oven every day to irradiate their own food.

(In case you don't know better, exposing food to radiation does NOT make it radioactive!)

This is a great example of the lack of science education in America today - people dying from E. Coli due to ignorance.

Are you willing to overcome irrational fears about irradiated food?

Soylant Green is people.......
in 2020, the greenhouse effect has detroyed the atmosphere.
People are kept under a dome for their safety, and all food is genetically remodified from dead human flesh.
There is a Soylent Red, Yellow, and Green. The Red and Yellow contain dead animal/organic matter, the Green contain, unknowingly, dead decomposed and re-genetically modified
"crackers", known as Soylent Green.
My question is, how can we be sure there are not dead people in out Mcdonalds' and other fast food "burgers"?

Don't be so assured that you know what goes into them. We already know that fast food is genetically modified, and that we incorporate getetically modified gene-stuff into our own genes,
becoming experiments for corporations........

Watch Soylent Green, and see what YOU think.......

The music which played when Edward G. Robinson was "going home":
The overture was the principal theme from the first movement of Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6, the "Pathetique."
When the visual presentation starts, the music is the first movement of Beethoven's "Symphony #6 (The Pastoral)".
When the flock of sheep appear, the music is "Morning" from Grieg's "Peer Gynt Suite #1".
At the end of the presentation is "Asas Death", also from the "Peer Gynt Suite".
