I live in a state of New Jersey, and for the first time in four decades death penalty have been banned in my state. I personally think it would be better for prisoners like rapists and sex offenders if they could just die. Because people say that killing is wrong no matter who it is, but if they have to spend their life in jail getting raped, isn't that more...cruel?

On the comments by the mayor of Praia Du Luz that the McCanns were to blame for the mess .......

"Last night McCann spokesman Clarence Mitchell angrily dismissed the mayor's comments, saying: "Where is his proof? He is not a police officer and has no access to details of the case. These comments are unrepresentative of the majority of Portuguese people.""

Actually Mr Mitchell, where is YOUR proof that his comments are unrepresentative of the majority of people in Portugal? Oh thats right, your the king of making sweeping statements that have no basis in fact.

"On Mrs Murat's criticism, he said: "Kate and Gerry thought they were acting as responsible parents that night. No one regrets it more than them.""

So Gerry and Kate thought on that night that leaving their 3 children alone, in an unlocked room, in a foreign countries, with many strangers wandering around was responsible? Really?

Come now Mr Mitchell, you'll be telling us that Santa Clause is real next .........

I agree, steriods are not a good in any sport, but there still invloves a great deal more in the sport than beefing up.

What happened to the good ole' American past time, not taxing the hell out of a fan for catching a record breaking ball, spewing private lives all over the media, and paying these players outrageous amounts of money?

Did we tax the person that caught Babe Ruth's ball, or judge him for his excessive drinking and hot dog eating?
What is this sport coming to?

OK, I admit this from the darker side of my soul.

Every New Year's Eve a group of us each submit $10 and a list of 15 famous people. Whoever have the most people from the list die during that year split the money.

Any suggestions?

A park warden tried to stop a couple from taking photographs of their own daughter playing on a swing.
Steve Brook and Mandy Smith were with toddler Rebecca in Alexandra Park, Oldham, when the warden said it was illegal to snap children in the park.
Mr Brook said the incident had "beggared belief".
An Oldham Council spokesman said that the warden had misinterpreted rules designed to protect children and had been "made aware of his actions".

is this more proof our freedom is slowly slipping away???

devastating periods in US history. Why are there some idiots around that still insist he has done a good job? He has smashed the previous record set by Ronald Reagan and whilst he has been chilling out at his ranch September 11th occured (he was warned in August 2001 that Bin Laden was determined to attack inside the USA) then there was the Iraq war where thousands of US soldiers have been killed or had limbs blown off etc. How can anybody possibly defend George Walker Bush after his disastrous Presidency?
