I mean, the UN has just decided to start a "hybrid" plan, which they believe will work. But the plan hasn't been started yet and frankly, i think that if they have waited so long (the genocide started 4 yrs ago) they don't really care much about the situation. they sould step in to protect the people, but until that happens, what is another way to stop the horrible murders of inncoent bystanders?

I'm not meaning to be disrespectful, but I cannot make a connection between honoring (or mourning) an ex-president and closing down the stock markets. Its not like any of the people who would have been trading needed time off to go the funeral. Nor are ordinary people rivited to the TV to watch the funeral like they were for the death of JFK.
Is this always done?

I only say this because didn't he have lots of doubles? And why was there no DNA proof shown on the news or anything to say that he is the real deal, I also find it strange that with all of Saddams money he could have been found so easily in a hole in the ground. I could be paranoid but the whole trial and sudden execution just seems to quick and like someones trying to hide something. Also where are his doubles now? The media has little mention of them.

I dont know if anyone else has seen it but I just found it and wanted to share it with everyone.

I am an Ex-Marine and I know that this has more of a meaning to me than it would to all of you that stayed in your safe homes and never saw what this man did to the people of Iraq. Saddam is nothing short of Hitler. Anyone wanting to say "he was a human being", say that after seeing the women that he tortured or the infants that he killed

I am sure that I will have all kinds of nasty little answers from all the people that never risked their life for someone else but I will wear them like badges of honor.

For these people I have only one thing to say...

which news event upset you most in 2006?i know everyone is affected differently by diffferent things but for me it was watching the parents of the kids who died on holiday in greece from carbon minoxide poisoning and the parents realising something was wrong but collapsed themselves trying to help.

I have a degree in BA in Professional Writing and Editing. I mainly concentrated in Technical Writing so I don't have a "portfolio" of writing samples. I am getting mt BSAS in Civil Engineering this May and would like to poossibly do some freelance writing, but I am not sure where to start or what to look for. I am doing a project on why we should stay in Iraq. Currently i know that there is a "Civil War" between the Shi'ites and the Suniis, and that the new government is not strong enough to stand on its own, but i cannot think of anything else. The paper is due soon so a quick response would be much appreciated.
