I mean, the UN has just decided to start a "hybrid" plan, which they believe will work. But the plan hasn't been started yet and frankly, i think that if they have waited so long (the genocide started 4 yrs ago) they don't really care much about the situation. they sould step in to protect the people, but until that happens, what is another way to stop the horrible murders of inncoent bystanders?

It has to be a UN peace-keeping effort and they haven't been able to get permission to assist because the African Union had the mediator role but now that their mandate expired Dec. 31 '06. So look for the UN to take a greater role in 2007.

It will never happen if the United States doesn't get involved and the Liberal Democrats in the United States wouldn't even support President Bush deposing the evil, genocidal despot, Saddam Hussein even though he killed 500,000 people.

Since the people in Darfur are black, however, the Liberal Democrat wimps might get behind it because they pander to blacks in American for votes. Liberal Democrats are basically the ***** of the black community--so maybe something will happen.
