Hi. Grandparents like to feed the birds in their backyard.
I used to be able to pick up huge bags of bird bread [reject human bread] for them at a place on Milwaukee and Belmont for a buck a bag. They closed down. Know any place on northwest side where they sell cheap bread. I tried the Sara Lee outlet store...their cheapest is $1.35 a loaf. This is grandparents only past-time in this zero degree weather. Any suggestions that I can try? It gets a little expensive feeding their birds at about 25 loaves a month plus the bird seed I buy for them. Thanks.

I am looking for movie theaters in the Chicagoland area that offer daytime movie showings where parents are encouraged to bring their babies/young children. AMC/Loews used to have this program, but discontinued it. Does anyone know of another movie chain that offers these showings?

Is there any anime or Japan-themed stores in Chicago, something like the Japan store in Disney World? I already did a Google search on it, and nothing really came up.

My car got hit in a parking lot, and the person who hit me has American Service Insurance. So far, they've been obnoxious to deal with, and I haven't even gotten the car into one of their body shops for an estimate yet. I can't imagine how badly this is going to go. Has anyone learned anything about them that can help me get through this claims process before I grow old(er)?

I'm looking for someplace (other than Whole Foods) to buy bulk grains, lentils, spices, beans, nuts, cereals, etc. I know that sometimes indian and other international food markets sell these types of foods at a reasonable price. I'm sure that W Devon Ave would have someplace, but I do not want to brave the traffic without having a good idea of where to go. Does anyone know where I can buy (quality) bulk foods, or perhaps a good international food market (not *too* far from Lakeview) that sells packages of these types of items for a reasonable price?
