Apparently I have tryed all of those options genius. Now I need help from people who may see FOR RENT signs or who may know someone. Thanks for NOT answering, silly man.

Yes....try Craigslist.com.
Also...a better place is the Chicago Reader.
You can pick them up free at restaurant's like Leona's.
or go to chicagoreader.com.
You don't really have specifics here like an 'area' or what is 'affordable' to you, so I really can't help much more.
Just be careful when you are checking into the 'studio' apartment that it's not in an SRO. Which is a Single Room Occupancy bulding where they pay daily or weekly and have a lot of junkies, etc.

Try going more south, like Lansing or Calumet city... take the metra in to the city if that's where you work. Good luck with that. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Dude, this is *not* a place to look for rentals. There are any number of online and printed resources that serve that purpose.
And no, you don't get to dictate who does or doesn't respond to your question. This is America, dammit. (Besides, someone who's *not* a Chicago resident might still know about an available unit; ever think of that?)
