Why are all video games heading more towards online gaming and away from split screen, mario kart on the n64 supported 4 player split screen, test drive on the xbox360 only supports one player per console, is that progress? i thought games were supposed to be a social past time

I have been playing video games since the early 80's, and i like to think that those of us from the 70's to early 80's were the 1st video console gaming generation... and someone asked a question thats been bothering me for a while...

Have modern video game manufactorers lost of the concept of how to make, good, playable, enjoyable video games without resorting to violence.

I feel that this new generation who want prettier graphics and more violence have betrayed me by ruining the market for me

This guys question was (kinda) 'What game release are you looking forward to the most' and you know what...

I have made a playhouse for my daughter and I think that they are good enough to sell. I know that selling goods for children is quite tricky and wondered whether I needed to get a BS number, mark it with CE or something like that. The house is safe enough but as it is for children I do not want to be the target of legal action.
