If you where given £350.00 to spend on present for the family what would you buy?

The only thing is it can not be designer clothes or electrical goods like pc, ipods, games, mobiles, imagine the world of technology does not exist?

Time to use the imagination.

I would buy some board games that require some form of interaction from the participants, or for younger children there is wooden trainsets, dolls houses. If you want it to be for all the family then you could all go to a show, or all go out for a meal. What about subscription to fan clubs i.e football or music fanclubs. Years subscription to a favourite comic or magazine, that way the pressent lasts all year round.

You're obviously English, and I assume from London, but that's not important, it all depends on the number of people, but I would consider a night out at the theater or a family dinner between Christmas and New year at a lovely old country pub which could provide accommodation for you all.
If there's youngsters involved then I can't really suggest any additions to the above

probably a pet or a a short holiday in some place close to home, or lots and lots of ice cream, haha
or some games for the kids, not computer games but board games of some kind. they're great for the kids but also a lot of fun for the rest of the family, but since the better games are often quite exopensive you wouldn't buy one on a ordinary day, this kind of money would help!

I considered buying a helicopter ride over the area where we live, its quite expensive for just 10 mins so with £350 you would probably get 30mins in the air for 2 people plus its a pressie that wouldnt be forgotten quickly

I would buy some good old fashioned board games to play and a deck of cards and probably spend the rest on aftershaves, perfumes and a scratch card for each person.Of course all of this depends on their ages.

I'd take my family out for a propper christmas lunch. We usually have a BBQ breakfast, and have never eaten out christmas day. Once presents have been bought, that pretty well uses up the budget. We'd all get slightly drunk, and all get taxis home

We were given some money and we went to see the Lion King. My kids loved it and still talk about it.
If I didn't need anything particularly, that's what I would do. Spend it on a luxurious night out!
