My mom gave me some cute fluffy baby yarn to knit something for my 7 month old daughter. Up until now I've just used plain old typical yarn. I'm trying to knit with this stuff but I can't see what I'm doing because of all the fluffy bits in the way - it's really difficult to work with! Is there some kind of trick to it that I'm missing?

I just made a basic simple quilt for my daughter
(sandwiched batting between top panel and bottom panel and sewed together)

I'm looking for ideas to "finish" it.
I don't care for yarn ties, but it needs something to hold it all together so it doesn't separate & billow out.

It was a plastic toilet bowl. You would roll plastic toilet paper to find out how many scumballs to add to the toilet to flush. If you were un lucky all of the scumballs that you added would all come out along with the ones people flushed before you.
