Have you ever blown up pottery?

what are the best fireworks to use? i want to see if i can make it lift off and explode in the air. last week i tried but it wasnt a pwerful enough explosion. it just fell back to earth with a black spot and shattered.

the only way i ever had it blown up was in the kiln........:)
